Dr. Mohammad Hedayetullah Mir

Dr. Mir’s research deals with exciting problems in chemistry and materials science ranging from smart materials, energy and environment related applications to challenges in society by utlizing atomically precise functional materials such as metal-organic frameworks (MOFs)/porous coordination polymers (PCPs). His research group is actively focussed on design of MOFs/CPs for applications in diverse field including gas storage, sensing, conductivity, Catalysis, Schottky diodes and photoreactivity and water clusters. His important research contributions include impact of conductivity, sensing upon solid-state reactivity. Dr. Mir has recently developed fascinating photosalient behaviour of coordination polymer. This study opens up the possibility of a new area of photoactuating smart materials based on dynamic CPs/MOFs.
